海地呢 Where is Haiti

親愛的大家

明天就三月了呢
這個月就要去海地了
你們是不是也跟我一樣緊張呢
應該是我比較緊張>||||||||||<

但我還有一些訊息和照片想和你們分享
請大家持續得為我代禱
你們也都在我的禱告中^^






很多人都會問我有關海地的事
海地在哪？他們說什麼語言？是不是前一陣子地震？之類等等的問題。

所以我想要提供給你們一些有關海地的背景資料
希望你們對海地也有近一步的了解^^

首先，先了解海地的地理位置

＊海地位於中南美洲，在美國的右下方

＊是個加勒比海上的島國，與多明尼加是相鄰的國家

＊綠色那個就是海地囉！

＊海地是拉丁美洲最早爭取到獨立的國家

＊有兩個正式的官方語言

1. 法語

2. 克里奧爾語 Creole 

＊海地人大部份都是黑人(非裔)

＊首都是太子港 Port-au-Prince  (應該是我們這次去的地方)

    海地是世界上幾個最窮的國家之一

      

海地是熱帶島嶼國家，比台灣還熱＠＠

海地人英文叫 Haitian，很漂亮的海地女孩，感覺他們喜歡穿的很鮮艷，他們的藝術品也是很鮮艷的顏色

不幸的是，海地在2010年1月12日 

發生了芮氏7.0的大地震

震央就在首都太子港附近

影響了將近300萬的海地人

如今，距離2010年大地震已經兩年多了

但很多的海地人還是沒有家

生活品質並沒有顯著的改善

海地人民的生活窮困

所以人與人之間存在著

忌妒

衝突

憤怒

可能只是為了

一點水

一塊麵包

一個好一點的生活

請大家繼續的關懷海地

為這些美麗的人們禱告

哥林多前書第二章1-5節

『1 弟兄們，我從前到你們那裡去，並沒有用高言大智向你們傳講　神的奧祕。2 因為我曾立定主意，在你們中間甚麼都不想知道，只知道耶穌基督和他釘十字架的事。3 我在你們那裡的時候，又軟弱又懼怕，而且戰戰兢兢；4 我說的話、講的道，都不是用智慧的話去說服人，而是用聖靈和能力來證明，5 使你們的信不是憑著人的智慧，而是憑著　神的能力。』

我們以外國人的身分到海地

不是拯救

並不帶著優越感

我們的目的是

服務

學習

愛

我們不要靠自己

乃是要靠神

要靠著神的能力與智慧

到他們當中與他們分享

這是我們禮拜日的海地會議

我們是第一小組:)

每個兩個禮拜的會議我們都會準備午餐

這天是我們小組準備的義大利麵！

A lot of you ask me questions about Haiti, 

so i just thought i should give you some background.

Hopefully this helps a little bit:)

First of all, Where is Haiti?

* Haiti is a country located in Central America

*It is a Caribbean island country, sharing the island with Dominican Republic

*Haiti is the green one on the map!

Haiti's Flag

*Haiti is the first independent nation in Latin America

*It has two official languages:

1. French

2. Haitian Creole

*Most Haitians are of African descent

*Capital of Haiti is Port-au-Prince

    Haiti is one of the poorest countries in the world

        

Haiti is an tropical island country,

its super HOT!!!

Haitians wear bright colors!

You can see the colorful culture in their arts too

Unfortunately, on Jan. 12, 2010

A huge earthquake took place around the capital Port-au-Prince

3 million Haitians were affected 

It has been 2 years since the earthquake

Many Haitians still live in camps

Many Haitians still have no homes

Many Haitians still live in bad conditions

Haitian people have little money

Conflict

Jealousy

and Anger

Happens constantly between each other

Maybe just for

a drink of water 

a piece of bread

a better living condition

Please keep these beautiful people in your prayers

1 Corinthians 2:1-5

1 And so it was with me, brothers and sisters. When I came to you, I did not come with eloquence or human wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God. 2 For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. 3 I came to you in weakness with great fear and trembling. 4 My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, 5so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power.

We as foreigners to Haiti

We do not go with superiority 

Our goal is 

to SERVE

to LEARN

and to LOVE

We do not depend on ourselves

but depend on God's will

God's wisdom and power 

is the guide to everything we do

i wanna introduce my Haiti Journal to you^^
來跟你們介紹一下我可愛的海地手冊^^

everyone going to Haiti gets a journal, but its not only a journal, it contains a lot in it!


每個人都有一本日記手冊，不單單是寫日記，它功用很多的！

there are important bible scriptures that we need to read and understand, 
discuss with other people so that we know what the bible is teaching us


裡面有重要的經文，我們需要靈修以及討論聖經裡的教導

and A LOT of questions that we need to think about on our own time. Include questions about oneself, God, and Haiti.


手冊裡有很多很多問題，包括個人對自己的看法，對上帝，以及對海地

            


we have Mission meetings after church on Sundays every two weeks. We have lessons, discussions, and homework. 


每兩個禮拜我們都會有海地會議

this week we are talking about STEREOTYPES. common stereotypes we have on people in Third World Countries, and the stereotypes they have on us

SNOW DAY!


下雪囉！

A bunch of us drive around town and find families that need help getting out from their driveway or need help shoveling. We raised about $ 250 for shoveling all day!

我們一群人開著車到處尋找雪太多的家庭:)幫他們剷家門口後院和車道的雪! 超多雪的!
我們剷了一整天大概募到了美金250 元
很開心的剷雪和募款經驗^^

Fund Raising 募款計畫

Dear friends,

On March 30, 2012, I will be going to Haiti for a mission trip with a group of people from Missoula Valley Church. This trip is a personal challenge for me in the process of growing up and I am searching for how God wants to use me in his state. I also want to learn about Haiti’s culture and how the 2010 earthquake affects the living conditions of Haitians. I know that God loves Haitians and I want them to know too.

The main purpose of this mission trip is to serve, learn and love another culture. We will raise funds for the purchase and construction of a home for a needy family in Haiti. To build a house for a family is our main goal.

The expected cost of my own trip expense is $ 1300. I have set a personal goal to fund raise the money needed for this trip and become an effective person. I have been living in Missoula, MT for almost two years since I left Taiwan. I am no longer the little girl that only cares about my own business. I want to take on every challenge I meet in life and be an effective person to people around me. I know this trip is a big challenge for me but it is only a small step toward my goal of making a change in the world and becoming a useful servant for God. I need all your supports to help me accomplish this mission.

I have started my fundraising off with a personal donation of $ 200. I would greatly appreciate your help in reaching this target. Your donation will bring me closer to my goal and help me to accomplish an once-in-a-lifetime trip. Please make all donations to my parents or contact me on the blog.

 親愛的朋友們：

今年的春假 3/30~4/7 我將與Missoula Valley教會裡的人一起到海地做一個短宣。我們總共有26個人，年齡限制是17歲以上。這是我第一次嘗試到國外短宣，這段旅程是我給自己的挑戰也希望從這次的經驗我能學習能成長，也成為一個神所受用的同工。海地對我而言是一個未知的國度，我想要認識他們的文化，也想知道2010年的地震對當地的人們有什麼影響。我知道神愛海地，我希望海地人能夠認識神。

我們這次到海地短宣的目的是服務、學習、和愛另一個文化。我們將要在海地蓋一棟房子為一個需要的家庭，我們將用不同的募款方式，例如：剷雪、賣咖啡等，來籌備蓋一棟房子所需要的花費。

除了團體的募款之外，每個人各自的募款金額是美金$1500。我給自己的目標是募到所有需要的金額，除此之外，我想成為一個有影響力的人。兩年前，我從台灣飛到Missoula, MT，展開一段截然不同的新生活。離開了原本舒適的家、離開了我熟悉的生活、離開了熟悉的面孔，我才意識到這是多麼大的一個改變。但從那時起，我變得勇敢並開始接受以及面對任何我所遇到的困難及挑戰。因為我相信挑戰使人堅強使人成長，踏出自己舒適的城堡是很艱難的考驗，但當一個人離開了城堡才能開始影響周遭的人。所以即使我現在已經在國外了，但我還想到世界各個角落，成為神的門徒，用愛影響他們。但要達成這個任務，我需要你們所有的幫忙及支持。

我已經開始我的募款計畫，我個人的捐款金額是$200美金。其餘的募款金額$1300需要你們所有慷慨的捐獻，我會很感激所有幫助我的人，你們的奉獻將使我離我的目標更進一些。請連絡我的家人或在我的部落格上留言如果您有意捐款。
